Meet Our Students

Today the operating rooms were up and running at full capacity.  The Funniest Scrubs Contest  is now underway!  Because this mission is known as the teaching trip, surgeons have medical students shadowing them in the OR.  This year, four students from KU School of Medicine are following the surgical team.  Connor, Tyler and Weston have just finished their first year, and Amanda has completed her second.

In addition to the beginning of our week of care comes the end of the hospital’s anniversary celebration.  A special morning mass was held in the church and broadcast throughout the corridors of Las Obras.  After mass, the residents and staff were treated to an afternoon of music and dancing.  Witnessing all of the love and compassion was truly special.
